The dabblings...
Okay, so this is the most recent one. A change of subject, I wanted to do a relaxed beach scene, so here it is. Late afternoon and a sea like a millpond. Bring on the cocktails and let's relax. :-)
After spending a lot of time on the Polperro painting, and about six hours on the Piers one below, I just wanted to run off a quick wet-in-wet oils pic. This is the result. A Woodland waterfall.

I wanted to portray Piers' struggle with Dyspraxia so hit on the idea of him swimming against the tide. The message at the bottom reads:
"Only someone swimming against the tide knows the true strength of it".

Polperro Harbour - view from our holiday apartment. 42" x30" Painting in Acrylics completed Jun 07. The next two are just details from the same painting.

A small imaginary landscape in oils..

A poor attempt at an Austrian winter scene.

A Lake District view

Mountain lake. Oils again.

"The Cobbler's Workshop". Watercolours.

First attempt at a naked male. Oils.

Another boy in oils...except he's in water of course. :-)

Sunset in oils. Wet in wet technique.

Country lane in Wales. Oils.

Auntie Gertie's garden. Watercolours.

Woodland stream. Oils.

Mountain view. Oils.

English beach scene. Oils.

Fishermans Cottages, Mousehole, Cornwall. Watercolours.

River in Norwich by night. Acrylics on hardboard.

Spring Thaw. Oils.

Yorkshire river in autumn/fall.

Yacht race, Isle of Wight. Watercolours.

Two old barns. Watercolours.

Two views of Mill Street, Warwick. Watercolours.

And if you stand with your back to the brown door in the last painting, you get this view. The magnificent Warwick Castle. Watercolours.

Two old stable doors. Watercolours.

End of the Line I and II. Clever use of old railway carriages on a local farm. They both now house pigs.

Clovelly in North Devon. Watercolours.

Fishing boats in Porthleven, Cornwall. Acrylics.
